Ape vs. Ape

As I was driving home today I came up behind 2 Apes (it’s pronounced OP-eh)…Those are those 3 wheeled things with a 125cc engine…It basically has the manoeuvrability and speed of a vespa with 3 people on it…
Anyway…it’s obvious that the one in the back wants to pass the other one…For those in the states this is like a VW microbus trying to pass another VW microbus on the freeway…
Fade left in anticipation of passing….fade right when another car is coming up…fade left after car passes….fade right as another car comes up…It’s all taking place at the speed of a boat race…

This is on a very long stretch of 2 lane road, so the Ape has to deal with oncoming traffic along with me who’s giggling to myself immediately behind Ape #2.

It was taking place at the speed of Darwin figuring out natural selection…One can completely anticipate the thought process (at least we can in retrospect)…

Finally ape#2 slows down for the downshift….(Here we go)……………….slow down………(It’s happening!!!!!!)…..(cloud of grey smoke and shuddering)…..fade left in anticipation of that moment in about 40 seconds when you’re actually going to pass…..fade right as car comes…..(fade left to check for traffic)…..(check rear view mirror while fading slightly right to make sure you aren’t being passed)…..(time the next car coming)……go….GO…GOGOGOGOGOGO!!!!!

It obviously took me about 4 hours to get home as I was stuck behind these 2 jokers 😉
I was right behind Ape #2 and passed them both as soon as possible…

Off to Frankfurt on Thursday…at least I think so. My boss didn’t tell me she approved my request, but I’m assuming alles klaar (brushing up on the Deutsch)….

I didn’t win the car (see previous entry from a couple weeks ago), but I was kind of relieved, cuz I’m not sure I can really afford it. Someone who probably already has a car won it. oh well…Probably should work on getting that license soon 🙂
