In my oh so disciplined italians studies I was informed there is no letter “J” in Italian. I can’t tell if this makes me angry or sad 😉
I’m going to start a search for a schoolhouse rock kind of song that honours the letter j…
Xavier Rudd is on tour in Italy…most interesting date is at a guitar festival in Genova in late July…Am gonna have to do a bit of research, but a road trip might be in order.
and a late breaking thought…………didn’t Pearl Jam have a song “Brain of J”??? I think it was on Vitalogy or the album right after that, but I apparently have neither in my music collection…oh well…It was about JFK’s brain right?
I have a voice actuated miniature tape recorder. I will send it to you so you can record real Italian conversations. If I can find it. It might be a good learning tool.
Are you a detective 😉
I hear Italian all day every day. That’s not the problem. I pretty much lack discipline to learn. I have many Italian books, Italian TV, Italian DVDs and even music. I just don’t make enough effort. Maybe I need structure or a tutor…
Create some structure by scheduling a short time period and devising some easy learning exercise. Because it is short and easy you will be able to stick to it. Otherwise find a partner whom you can help to learn English, who will help you with Italian. A tutor would be good if you can afford it.
I used the recorder to learn morse code. It has many uses. If you thought someone was accessing your apartment or any private space, just place one there out of sight and you will know for sure.
