I guess on days where something actually happens I should do 😉
Moved in to my new flat today. I managed to clean up my old flat to a near respectable state by 10 a.m. and then at noon the owner/colleague and her mother showed me in (is that legitimate english). They gave me the tour etc at noon. The mom (I realized after they left that 5 years or so ago I would have called her a gramma type, but now I call her a mom type – gettin old) insisted on showing me EVERYTHING. I am kinda self sufficient so I didn’t really need that. Alessandra and I were laughing at how over-showy she was. But we were laughing in english so it was Ok as the mom didn’t speak english. She insisted on showing me how to turn the gas on and off, how to turn the stove on, and where the bottle opener was. It was actually pretty funny.
There’s a market going on in the parking lot below. One person was selling the absolute worst selection of DVDs I’ve ever seen in one place. I usually can go to a 5€ DVD table and find something. This was the worst selection of B-movies ever! There was some Sam Raimi movie I’d never heard of and I would have gotten it, but it was Italian audio only. Other than that it was crap.
There is some guy who was selling vinyl and turntables out there. As I’m typing I can hear he’s playing the white album. Some good songs on there. I haven’t listened to the beatles in years, but the White Album was my favorite.
Had a kebap for lunch and walked the new neighborhood this evening. Found a market, and some new places to see.
There were a few trick or treaters out. I guess that holiday has made its way to europe. Thanks america!!!
The tile in here is blue, olive green and white. What can I possibly do with the walls? Some shade of green???
