trying to explain the word “fiasco” to an italian…

apparently “fiasco” comes from “flask” and is a special type of bottle used to serve chianti in Italy….I settled on “a big screw up” to ask if fiasco also meant that…but apparently not…it’s just a large bottle of wine as far as the italians are concerned.

In my case it’s 1,5 liters of red wine and I somehow procured a bottle. I think this is Antonio’s fault 😉

I signed my flat papers today. I move in on Saturday. Looking forward to this.

Where’s my bloody frankfurt book?

The leaves seemed to turn in one day. There are a lot more “evergreen” type plants/trees here, but still a few trees with leaves and I just noticed out of the blue that they were turning brown. This was odd to me because I usually notice that type of thing right away (when the first leave start turning a weird color and ponders falling off), but I guess this year I was pre-occupied or something as I noticed nothing and then “bam”…brown trees.

I realized this weekend that eating a Döner is an art. I went to a kebab shop that had India posters and such inside. Is there some kind of territorial thing going on? I thought kebabs were turkish…
