what a week!

So made a semi-spur of the moment ticket purchase to London next Friday night. It lands at Stansted at 23:30. The more I’m thinking about it the more I think I’m not going to make that last 12:30 train, cuz I always forget that England has more strict Passport controls than flying within europe…They always ask why you’re there, where you’re staying etc…and since it’s at RyanAir (737) they’re going to park it way out in the suburbs of the airport and force us onto a bus….That always takes a few minutes more than it should to offload…
Anyway, then training it to Nottingham on Saturday morning to see Jeff  (we call him father cuz he’s old and wise). Then back to London on Sunday to see Foy Vance, and flying back to Pisa on Monday late evening where I may also have trouble catching the last train back home. As long as there are no delays I’ll make it back, but it’ll be after the buses stop and if there’s no taxi I’ll have to walk home from the train station.
So tune in after I get back to see how everything about the trip was great except for the transportation problems that I always have when I travel…  😀

This week I have a friend staying here…Looking around I see that I need to clean some more 🙂

There’s some wanker with an old hardtail and gigantic apehangers that I just saw driving by…I admit it sounds really good, but c’mon apehangers?!?
Now I’m going to complain about the dudes here who have 883 sportsters and think they’re the baddest thing on the planet. Ok no I’m not…but Sportsters aren’t exactly hard core. Stop annoying me sportster owners…

We had a great view of the eclipse here…I don’t think I’ve ever seen one like that before. I asked a colleague why the moon was red…He said maybe it was the artificial (manmade) light coming from the earth. I’m not sure if that’s true, but t’was cool anyways. some pics

I also had the joy of explaining the phrases “not my cup of tea” and “right up my alley”.

Also tomorrow is an air show of sorts…you can’t see the planes on the ground, but they’re flying by here tomorrow. Along the beach of course which is where most people will gather, but I’ll either be on my balcony or on the roof of the building…If you want to come on the balcony bring 5€ or beers 😉

and…requested time off for the US road trip later this year…About 2 minutes after requesting the days off my partner in travel tells me the date won’t work…Shifted at least a week…sometime in October travelling from Seattle to SanFran…we’ve been talking about it for years and I guess it’s finally coming together 😀
