The lizards came out a few weeks ago. I’m still not used to the constant movements of little creatures hiding on walls or in lawns. Kind of freaks me out a bit…There weren’t a ton of lizards in Oregon.
Last week the ants came out too…I mopped as I don’t have any chemicals.
I guess it’s springtime in Italia.
Get the little ant feeding stations. They have worked well for me. They will eliminate the whole colony.
A tip a German showed me works for flying insects and maybe ants as well i can’t remember. Leave a small glass of beer or something sweet and drop a dash of dish washing detergent in – you have dish cleaning stuff right? Apparently the detergent doesn’t allow the insects to sit on the surface of the water, instead they fall through and drown. Silly bastids will do anything for a beer. I saw the results at his place but i can’t remember if they were all flying insects or a combination of both. Can’t hurt. Just costs you a few fingers of beer is all.
I’ve come up with an even better idea…I’m going to capture a lizard and just release it in my flat. Since I never have food here the lizard will have to eat the ants…I don’t see any downside to this and if either of you negative nellys come up with a downside I don’t want to hear about it 😉
Actually since I mopped I haven’t seen any ants. If I come across a chemical I’ll buy it, but I suspect it will turn out to be something other than what I expect. Like when one is in a foreign land and buys denture cream instead of toothpaste, or fabric softener instead of laundry detergent…I’ll probably be buying ant attractant or something…
