I’ve noticed when I say that to most of the Italians they wrinkle their nose like I just waved dirty socks in front of them…it’s the same look a kid gives when they are offered spinach (actually I make that face too when offered spinach – tip: just don’t do it)…I’ll assume the face isn’t for me personally becuase they don’t make it until I start speaking. I have to wonder if english sounds to them to be an ‘ugly’ language. The opposite of what english speakers say about French and Italian. The italians speak with so much ‘gusto’ in normal conversation and the english speakers are so sort of reserved, and level speakers except for some of the americans of italian descent who still maintain some of that machismo when they speak…
I have proper internet now…not exactly proper. It’s an internet key…slow, but it works. I’m downloading some more Camille (the frenchie I mentioned the other day) and Lykke Li (swedish- and also good). Give them a listen if you’re inclined. This is me recommending 🙂
