my English was corrected by a German colleague today. One colleague asked me how to ask for a favour in an email…My suggestion was something like “can you help me by…blah blah blah”.
Other colleague overhears and says “use could instead of can…it’s more polite”…
so I pose the question to you dear English speakers…Is could really more polite than can????

The word ,,queue” must be one of those mysterious English words that all the non-native english speakers complain about…apparently english as a second language is difficult…who knew 😉
